Two Israeli universities rank among top 30 global producers of AI talent, startups

Two Israeli universities, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and Tel Aviv University, have been recognized among the top 30 global institutions for AI talent, research, and entrepreneurship. The Technion ranked 25th and Tel Aviv University 28th in the AI Production Capacity index, compiled by 5W. This achievement is attributed to strong collaboration between academia, industry, and Israel's technology ecosystem, along with a talent pipeline from military tech units. Technion President Prof. Uri Sivan stated, "Despite the dramatic disparity in resources between the Technion and leading American universities and other top institutions worldwide, the Technion has secured a place among the world’s leading universities." The report highlighted their ties to major tech companies like Nvidia and Intel. The Technion also ranked eighth globally for AI entrepreneurship.
