UAE condemns alleged Iranian attack on ADNOC vessel in Hormuz

The United Arab Emirates condemned an alleged Iranian attack on an ADNOC vessel in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, accusing Iran of "acts of piracy." The UAE Foreign Ministry stated that the "hostile Iranian attack" violated a UN Security Council resolution on freedom of navigation. ADNOC, the Abu Dhabi state oil company, reported that 15 of its vessels have been attacked by missiles and drones since the conflict began on February 28, resulting in one crew member's death and 20 injuries. The company called on Iran to cease these attacks and fully reopen the strait, a critical waterway for global oil and liquefied natural gas shipments.
