Uganda military chief demands medal from former college before troops sent to Gaza as part of ISF

He also demanded an apology from US Sen. James Risch, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, who had previously criticized Kainerugaba's actions regarding press freedom. Uganda approved the deployment on August 10, with Defense Minister Kiryowa Kiwanuka affirming the contingent would remain neutral and comply with international humanitarian law. Kainerugaba previously expressed support for Israel in a potential Iran war.
