UK court convicts Norwegian over role in murder-for-hire ordered by Iran-linked gang

A Norwegian teenager, Johannes Kongsnes Natland, 19, was convicted in a London court on Wednesday for conspiracy to murder. Prosecutors stated Natland agreed to a 25,000 euro contract killing in March last year, traveling to the UK before his arrest in Huddersfield with two guns. He was recruited by the Foxtrot Network, a Swedish organized crime group with links to the Iranian government, according to London’s Metropolitan Police Service. Counterterrorism officers noted that "Natland was fully aware he was being asked to kill someone in the UK," though the target remains unidentified. The UK government previously sanctioned the Foxtrot Network for its involvement in violence against Jewish and Israeli targets in Europe on behalf of the Iranian regime.
