The UK Foreign Secretary, Ed Miliband, announced bans on imports from Israeli settlements, further sanctions on "extremist settlers," and restrictions on goods contributing to the "occupation," citing a high number of violent settler attacks. Danon rejected the term "settler violence," categorizing perpetrators as criminals rather than terrorists, and argued that such sanctions would harm Palestinians employed by Israeli businesses in the region.
