US Air Force begins relocating refueling aircraft ahead of Ben-Gurion's busiest month – report

The US Air Force has started moving some of its refueling aircraft from Ben-Gurion Airport, N12 reported on Thursday. This relocation follows Transportation Minister Miri Regev's request to Israeli security officials to clear the aircraft to ensure smooth operations during August, which is anticipated to be one of the airport's busiest months since October 7. Over 2.6 million passengers are expected to pass through, with an average of 100,000 daily travelers. The move aims to free up parking and operational space to accommodate the increased passenger volume during the summer travel season.
