US attacks southern Iran, as Tehran hits Gulf countries: What’s the latest?

The United States launched its sixth consecutive night of attacks against Iran, with CENTCOM reporting the completion of its latest major wave of strikes at 01:40 GMT on Friday. Iranian media indicated these strikes hit at least six bridges, a railway station, and other sites in southern Iran, resulting in at least eight deaths and power outages in the Hormozgan province.

• In retaliation, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed a 13th wave of strikes against US bases and regional targets.
• Bahrain and Qatar reported air raid sirens and intercepted projectiles, with one child injured by shrapnel in Doha.

Iranian military spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaghari stated the Strait of Hormuz "will never return to what it was before the 40-day war," accusing the US of destabilizing the waterway. US Vice President JD Vance claimed that "people within the Israeli government" have attempted to influence US public opinion against a deal to end the conflict.
