US denies that IRGC destroyed three F-35s, after Iran claims it killed US soldiers -report

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed on Thursday via Telegram that it killed several US soldiers and destroyed three F-35 aircraft at Jordan's Al-Azraq Air Base, with three other aircraft reportedly damaged. The IRGC stated this was in retaliation for Wednesday's strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island. However, US Central Command (CENTCOM) denied these claims, stating, "No US aircraft were destroyed or damaged in recent attempted Iranian attacks. All missiles and drones were intercepted or failed to reach targeted areas." The US military did not confirm any US service member casualties. Earlier, Iran's Tasnim news agency reported that three IRGC soldiers—Mahmoud Mollajabari, Mohammadreza Cheraghi, and Jamal Amiri—were killed in a US missile attack in Zanjan province. This exchange of strikes follows a period of relative calm, with US President Donald Trump warning, "We're going to hit them very hard, because now it's our turn to hit them."
