US Embassy delegation visits Upper Galilee to support economic recovery, investment

A senior US Embassy delegation, led by acting Economic Counselor Wendy Nassmacher, recently visited Israel's Upper Galilee to support the region's economic recovery following years of conflict. The delegation explored opportunities for growth in sectors such as industry, healthcare, innovation, tourism, and agriculture. Asaf Langleben, head of the Upper Galilee Regional Council, highlighted the need for redevelopment through job creation, investment, and international partnerships. A key priority was strengthening medical and emergency services, including the proposed development of a world-class medical center in Kiryat Shmona, a joint effort by JNF-USA and Jentezen Franklin Media Ministries. The visit reaffirmed the US commitment to supporting the recovery and future growth of northern communities, which have been significantly impacted since October 7th and throughout nearly three years of war, with JNF-USA having invested approximately $2 billion in the region over the past decade.
