US ends Iran strikes as Tehran keeps firing; oil prices surge, Gulf base damage revealed

Iran continued missile and drone attacks on U.S. military bases across the Middle East, including in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, and Jordan, even after the U.S. announced the completion of its latest strikes against Iranian targets. Satellite images from Soar Atlas reportedly showed damage to a warehouse at the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain and a hangar at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar from earlier Iranian attacks. The U.S. Central Command stated that President Donald Trump ordered the fourth wave of American strikes in less than a week in response to Iranian restrictions on commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, targeting Iranian air-defense systems, coastal radars, missile and drone sites, and small boats. These exchanges caused global oil prices to surge, with Brent crude rising approximately 4% to $79 a barrel, and Asian stock markets to fall. An Israeli official stated that Israel is monitoring the conflict but remains outside it for now, assessing that Iran does not wish to attack Israel directly.
