US general to oversee transfer of Hamas weapons to Gaza gov't, ISF under Israel-US deal

Israel and the United States have reached an understanding regarding the initial disarmament of Hamas, where weapons will be transferred to the proposed National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) and the International Stabilization Force (ISF). US Maj.-Gen. Jasper Jeffers, head of the ISF, will oversee this transfer. This agreement was made during a meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior officials from the Board of Peace (BoP), including Jared Kushner and Tony Blair. Israel emphasized that reconstruction in Gaza will only commence after Hamas is fully disarmed, and targeted operations against Hamas will continue. Israeli officials stressed that "the next steps in Gaza must ensure the security of the State of Israel and its citizens, and bring stability and a better future for all the peoples in the region."
