USPS probing apparent Hartford staffer caught on video saying ‘Jewish garbage’

The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) is investigating an employee in Hartford, Connecticut, after a video circulated on social media showing the individual allegedly referring to “Jewish garbage.” The video, posted by the nonprofit StopAntisemitism on September 11, appears to show a mail carrier expressing frustration with an overstuffed mailbox and then making the antisemitic remark. USPS spokeswoman Amy Gibbs stated, “This behavior is not acceptable” and confirmed that the incident is being “fully investigated,” with appropriate action to be taken. Leo Terrell, chair of the U.S. Justice Department task force on Jew-hatred, also commented on the incident on social media.
