Vance defends ties to influencers accused of amplifying antisemitism

Vice President JD Vance recently addressed Jewish conservatives at the Republican Jewish Coalition in Las Vegas, defending his engagement with influential media figures while also advocating for a clearer articulation of U.S.-Israel ties. Vance acknowledged concerns about commentators like Tucker Carlson and Joe Rogan, stating, "A lot of people in this room are going to disagree with things that Tucker Carlson or Megyn Kelly or Joe Rogan have said." However, he differentiated them from figures like Nick Fuentes, a far-right commentator, asserting, "Obviously, I’m not going to go talk to a guy who’s attacked my wife or who said that Hitler was a good guy." Vance argued that engaging with these platforms allows him to present his arguments directly. He also emphasized the need to explain the concrete benefits of the U.S.-Israel relationship to a younger, more skeptical American generation, stating, "What we have to do is articulate why this is in the best interest of the United States of America."
