Victim of alleged sexual misconduct by ICC prosecutor Khan speaks out for first time – report

A Malaysian lawyer, identified as Sarah, has publicly accused International Criminal Court (ICC) chief prosecutor Karim Khan of sexual misconduct, speaking to CNN for the first time. Sarah, who worked as Khan's assistant since February 2023, claims the alleged misconduct, including non-consensual sexual acts, lasted over a year. CNN obtained a leaked UN investigative report supporting these claims, which found a "factual basis" for the accusations. Sarah stated she felt "humiliated" and feared retaliation due to the significant power disparity, noting, "There is no way for something to be consensual when you have such a power disparity." Khan has denied all allegations and was suspended in June. Sarah also refuted speculation that her claims were part of an Israeli effort to discredit Khan, stating, "That conflation has only helped to distract and deflect from the validity of that complaint."
