'Violent provocateur': Opposition leaders decry MK Sukkot's destruction of West Bank monument

Opposition leaders have strongly condemned MK Zvi Sukkot (Religious Zionist Party) for destroying a monument in Kafr Madama near Nablus. Yashar party leader Gadi Eisenkot called Sukkot a "violent provocateur" who "lied and deceived the IDF and its commanders, harmed security and tarnished the entire State of Israel." B'Yachad leader Naftali Bennett accused the government of "undermining Israel's security and Israel's standing in the world just to rack up views on TikTok." The Democrats leader Yair Golan stated Sukkot "should be behind bars and bolts, not in the Knesset of Israel," and claimed Sukkot was responsible for diverting IDF forces before October 7. Blue and White leader MK Benny Gantz characterized Sukkot's actions as "anarchy." Sukkot, in turn, threatened Golan with a lawsuit over his remarks.
