‘Wall Street Journal’ probes extremist Jews’ ideology while ignoring Jew-hatred at Palestinian Islamism core

A JNS article criticizes The Wall Street Journal for a perceived journalistic asymmetry in its coverage of Israeli and Palestinian extremism. The Journal's September 25 investigation, "The Violent Israeli Nomads Who Defy Law and Order in the Name of God," deeply explored the ideological underpinnings of extreme Jewish groups, profiling members and citing biblical justifications for their actions. However, JNS argues that the Journal has failed to apply the same scrutiny to Palestinian terrorist organizations like Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ).

This disparity, JNS concludes, misleads readers by framing Israeli violence as systemic and religiously motivated, while portraying Palestinian attacks as isolated incidents driven by socio-economic factors, thereby obscuring the ideologically driven nature of Palestinian terrorism.
