Washington state official website includes candidate statement with 'globalize the intifada'

David Blomstrom, a congressional candidate in Washington's 7th Congressional District, included a statement on the official Washington Secretary of State website that features antisemitic remarks and calls for violence. Blomstrom, running against Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), stated he is "more staunchly pro-Iran and anti-Israel" than his opponents. His statement included the phrase "from the river to the sea, let's globalize the intifada," which is widely interpreted as a call for the eradication of Israel and violence against Jews. Blomstrom also accused Jews of controlling political parties and the global economy, stating, "we will never fix any major problems until we deal with our Jewish problem." Morton Klein, president of the Zionist Organization of America, condemned the statement, calling "'Globalize the intifada' is an outright horrifying call for the murder of Jews."
