Watch: UNSCO ‘finally acknowledged’ Hamas stealing aid, Israel says

The Israel Foreign Ministry on Wednesday commended the UN for acknowledging that Hamas is obstructing humanitarian aid distribution in Gaza. This follows a statement by Ramiz Alakbarov, UN Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, who on Monday condemned Hamas's “obstruction of humanitarian operations.” Alakbarov detailed incidents, including armed personnel affiliated with Hamas forcibly entering a food distribution point and a World Food Programme warehouse in Jabalia, North Gaza, and assaulting truck drivers. He stated these incidents are part of an “increasingly dangerous pattern of intimidation, violence and obstruction,” which endangers aid workers and disrupts vital assistance delivery.
