'When you’re defending, you’re already losing the fight'

Farley Weiss, president of the Israel Justice Organization, argues that Israel is losing the battle for international public opinion due to its defensive approach rather than a proactive one. Speaking at the JNS Media Hub in Jerusalem on July 26, Weiss stated, “When you’re defending, you’re already losing the fight.” He advocates for emphasizing historical and legal foundations for Jewish sovereignty, citing documents like the 1922 League of Nations Mandate for Palestine and the 1924 Anglo-American Treaty. Weiss also highlighted Article 24 of the 1964 PLO Palestinian National Covenant, which he claims relinquished territorial claims to the West Bank and Gaza. Despite rising antisemitism, he remains optimistic, noting strong support for Israel from leaders like former U.S. President Donald Trump.
