Yashar to safeguard Law of Return, cut bureaucracy, address needs of olim in next gov't – exclusive

The Yashar Party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, plans to safeguard the Law of Return, reduce bureaucracy, and address the needs of new immigrants if elected. Alex Rif, head of the party's olim integration initiative, outlined key aspects of their plan. A central focus is preserving the Law of Return's Grandchild Clause, with Rif stating, "It's very clear to us that we have to preserve the status quo. To unite the Jewish people in Israel." The party also aims to allow civil marriage and ensure non-halachically Jewish olim can be buried in Jewish cemeteries. Other initiatives include creating a pre-aliyah center abroad, facilitating professional integration for highly educated olim, improving educational support for children, and combating racism and violence against olim. Rif emphasized the need to address the increasing number of olim who leave Israel, stating, "They left because they feel hopeless."
