'You're a clown!': Ben-Gvir faces verbal assault from residents during visit to northern Israel

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir encountered verbal abuse from residents during a visit to Basmat Tabun in northern Israel on Tuesday. Accompanied by heavy security, Ben-Gvir was called a "clown" and a "terrorist" by residents who criticized his performance, with some shouting, "You're a clown. Everyone is laughing at you." This incident follows recent criticism from the Arab public regarding Israel Police actions. Earlier this week, residents of Umm al-Fahm alleged police raided a wedding, ordering guests to the floor, which police stated was due to "suspicion of weapons use." Additionally, a couple from the Negev was detained for allegedly disrupting traffic with their wedding convoy, leading the groom to claim Ben-Gvir "used them for a political stunt." Ben-Gvir responded, "We are putting an end to wild wedding convoys in the Negev and shooting at weddings that endanger human lives."
