Zamir instructs MAG to open investigation into NAZA film, IDF seeks Shin Bet support in probe

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir has instructed the Military Advocate General to open an investigation into the “NAZA” documentary, which has sparked tensions in Israel. The IDF has also requested assistance from the Shin Bet for the probe, which will examine potential information security concerns, including the leakage of classified material and the identities of interviewees. Legal action against filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor is a possibility if unauthorized information sharing by active-duty personnel is found. Separately, Southern Command chief Maj.-Gen. Yaniv Asor defended the IDF's conduct during the Gaza war, stating, “In this war, we carry a torch of light and good, and we are fighting a great war against darkness and evil.” He emphasized the military's commitment to examining its actions and correcting mistakes, while also noting that Hamas operates from within Gazan society.
