401st Brigade ends eight-month southern Lebanon mission after destroying 1,200 Hezbollah sites

The IDF's 401st Brigade, known as the "Iron Tracks" Brigade, concluded an eight-month mission in southern Lebanon, during which it destroyed 1,200 Hezbollah sites and killed over 60 terrorists. The operation focused on defensive actions along the border and offensive work within the security zone, including seizing over 600 weapons and dismantling hundreds of meters of underground tunnels. Colonel Yoav Schneider, Commander of the 401st Brigade, stated, "Our mission was clear: to prevent and push back the threat to Israeli civilians." The mission, which aimed to protect Israeli troops and civilians following renewed rocket and drone attacks by Hezbollah in March, resulted in the deaths of four soldiers from the 52nd battalion on June 21.
