941 days missing: Haymanot Kasau’s family rallies in Jerusalem to demand Shin Bet investigation

On Wednesday, a demonstration was held in Jerusalem's Paris Square, led by the Kasau family, to demand the transfer of the investigation into Haymanot Kasau's disappearance to the Shin Bet. Haymanot, who went missing on February 25, 2024, from a Safed absorption center at age nine, has been missing for 941 days. The protest followed the Jerusalem Municipality's refusal to allow the family to erect a protest tent. Tesfaye Kasau, Haymanot's father, expressed frustration with the current investigation, stating, "Investigation is being handled as an afterthought," and that Lahav 433 provided no answers to his questions. Shelly Shem Tov, mother of a released hostage, spoke at the rally, expressing solidarity with the Kasau family and urging public support, noting, "feeling alone, feeling abandoned, is simply terrible."
