French manager of Thai zoo that refused to admit Israelis ordered deported

Thai authorities have ordered the deportation of Kevin Dimino, the French manager of a zoo on Koh Samui, following an incident where he refused entry to Israelis and displayed a Palestinian flag. Dimino, who has lived in Thailand for over a decade, is accused of “threats, harassment and physical violence” and “sowing discord and inciting division on racial and religious grounds.” He has seven days to appeal the decision. This action follows the earlier deportation order against an Israeli man involved in a confrontation with Dimino, who was convicted of “threatening behavior that caused fear and distress to another person.” The dispute escalated with online videos showing Dimino attacking the Israeli, and claims of threats against Dimino and his family, as well as an investigation into an alleged bounty offered for information leading to harm against the manager.
