Palestine weekly: West Bank in flames after Tal killings

On July 24, violence erupted in Tal, West Bank, when Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian homes, leading to a confrontation where a Palestinian man shot a settler dead before being killed by soldiers. The incident resulted in the deaths of four Palestinians from the Ramadan family, one settler, and an Israeli soldier. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered a "wide-scale military operation," including home demolitions, work permit revocations, and the acceleration of settler outpost "regularisation." Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich stated the response would be an "iron fist."

Israel approved the entry of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) into Gaza, comprising approximately 200 personnel from "friendly countries such as Uganda and Morocco," to operate in coordination with the Israeli military in non-controlled areas.
