President Aoun: Israel-Lebanon talks progressing, Israel won't remain on a single inch of Lebanon

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated on Tuesday that negotiations with Israel are progressing, emphasizing that Lebanon will not accept any continued Israeli presence on its territory. Speaking to a delegation from the Maronite Foundation in the World, Aoun reaffirmed his commitment to "rebuild the state, whatever the cost." He noted that the framework agreement has reduced Israeli attacks, encouraging Lebanese citizens to return for the summer. However, Aoun stressed that a complete Israeli withdrawal and the return of Lebanese prisoners remain key priorities. He asserted, "In the end, we will not allow Israel to remain on even a single inch of our land." The next round of Israel-Lebanon talks is anticipated in early September.
