Sa'ar, Czech FM discuss sale of Israeli air defense systems

Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka announced on Tuesday that Czechia is in discussions with Israeli companies to acquire air-defense systems, including the Spyder, Arrow, and other technologies. Speaking alongside Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar, Macinka stated, "Regarding the Spyder, yes, we are discussing. We're discussing air-defense systems with Israel because these systems are technologically on top." He affirmed Czechia's commitment to strengthening political and economic cooperation with Israel. Sa'ar expressed gratitude for Czechia's support, particularly for preventing the European Union from being used to promote anti-Israeli policies, and emphasized Israel's growing importance in European defense and security, stating, "Israel is becoming an increasingly significant country in the defense of Europe itself, and Europe benefits from its activities in the field of security."
