'Strength of next generation': Israeli youth bridge teams claim three European silver medals
Israeli youth bridge teams achieved significant success at the European Championship in Riga, Latvia, securing three silver medals. The Under-26, Under-21, and Under-16 national teams all finished second in Europe after competing for gold until the final stages of the tournament. This achievement follows two bronze medals recently won by Israel's Open and Mixed Pairs senior teams.
"It is an incredible success," said Danny Loonstein, chairman of the Israel Bridge Federation.
Arik Kaplan, president and CEO of Ayelet, the umbrella organization for Israel's non-Olympic sports, also congratulated the teams, stating that having three Israeli youth teams on the podium is "impressive evidence of the strength of the next generation of Israeli sports."
