US names two soldiers KIA in Jordan

The U.S. Department of War announced the deaths of two American service members in Jordan over the weekend. First Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, of Hawaii, was killed on July 18, and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, of Texas, was killed on July 17. Both were killed by “enemy fire” while supporting “Operation Inherent Resolve,” an ongoing U.S. military operation against Islamic State in Iraq, Syria, and Libya. The incident is under investigation, and it remains unclear who is responsible or how they were killed. U.S. Central Command previously reported two soldiers killed and one missing after Iranian strikes on U.S. military sites in Jordan.
