‘Betrayal’: Fetterman blasts Vance for accusing Israel of undermining Iran peace effort

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) criticized Vice President JD Vance for alleging that Israel is funding online influencers to undermine U.S. negotiations for a peace deal with Iran. Fetterman called Vance's accusation a "betrayal," stating, "Anyone — I don’t care if Republican or Democrats — betray Israel, I’ll of course reject that in the strongest terms." Vance, during an appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast, claimed there was a "very discreet, extremely well-funded campaign" by elements of the Israeli government to derail the deal. Brad Parscale, former campaign manager for Donald Trump, denied Vance's claims that his firm was behind an Israeli-funded campaign to influence Americans against diplomatic negotiations with Iran, stating his efforts began during the Biden administration due to a rise in "Jewish hatred, not because of any government agenda."
