Former Mossad official urges forceful Lebanon strikes against Hezbollah, warns against all-out war

Oded Ailam, former head of the Mossad's counterterrorism division, recommended on 103FM that Israel intensify strikes against Hezbollah activity in southern Lebanon without declaring an end to the ceasefire. He emphasized the need to "strike with force anywhere in southern Lebanon where we identify any kind of organizing, without any reservations and without any restrictions." Ailam advised against targeted killings of senior figures or attacks in Beirut's Dahiyeh neighborhood, as these would break the established rules. He also cautioned against an all-out war to destroy Hezbollah, stating that Israel should not "take the gloves off at this stage." Ailam also criticized US President Donald Trump, comparing his presidency to his past business bankruptcies and referencing the withdrawal from Afghanistan as a "brilliant victory" for Trump.
