IDF soldiers seize Hezbollah weapons in Southern Lebanon

IDF troops recently seized dozens of weapons, including Kalashnikov rifles, RPGs, and explosive devices, from Hezbollah infrastructure in Southern Lebanon. This operation is part of ongoing efforts against the terrorist group in the security zone. Separately, soldiers fired warning shots and then live rounds at a suspect who approached an IDF position in Ras Bayada “in a manner that posed a threat to them.” The military also confirmed the launch of a “Safe Zone” pilot program in Southern Lebanon, involving Israeli troop redeployment from designated areas. The U.S. State Department noted that the Lebanese military began operations to take control of villages near the Israeli security zone, specifically Froun, Srifa, and Zawtar al-Gharbiya, as part of a Trilateral Framework.
