US launches tenth consecutive night of attacks on Iran

The United States has launched its tenth consecutive night of attacks against Iran, targeting locations including Sirik, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, and Isfahan. US Central Command (CENTCOM) stated the strikes are “designed to further degrade Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.” This follows two Greek-owned oil tankers being struck in the Strait of Hormuz and another off Oman. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed retaliation by targeting “US HIMARS missile systems” in Kuwait. US President Donald Trump warned of severe repercussions for Iranian attacks on US personnel, after two US soldiers were killed in Jordan and another in Iraq. Additionally, Yemen’s Houthi militia declared a blockade on Saudi Arabia, raising concerns about renewed conflict in Yemen and threats to Red Sea shipping.
