IDF arrests dozens of Palestinians in sweeping raids across West Bank after deadly clash

Following a deadly clash in the West Bank that killed two Israelis and four Palestinians, Israeli troops conducted extensive raids across several Palestinian towns and villages overnight into Saturday, arresting over 70 wanted individuals and questioning hundreds more. The primary focus was the village of Tell, near Nablus, where the incident occurred, with searches in the homes of the deceased Palestinians. Walid Zidan, the mayor of Tell, stated that approximately 70 people from the village were detained and questioned. In response to the clash, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed “powerful action,” including demolishing a Palestinian family’s home and accelerating settlement construction. Concurrently, settlers established four illegal outposts near the clash site, and settler violence, including firing at vehicles and blocking roads, was reported in other areas.
