Knesset seat distribution remains unchanged, despite growing uncertainty in security – poll
Among the opposition parties, the Democrats have failed to return to double digits after losing two seats last week, falling to nine, below the level recorded before the party’s primaries.
A recent Maariv poll, conducted by Lazar Research in cooperation with Panel4ALL on July 5-6, indicates that the distribution of Knesset seats remains largely unchanged despite ongoing security, diplomatic, and political uncertainties. The coalition holds 49 seats, while Zionist opposition parties have 57, potentially reaching 61 with Zionist Home's four seats. The Arab parties maintain 10 seats. The Democrats, an opposition party, fell to nine seats.
- Most Israelis (55%) oppose including Ra'am in a future coalition, even with Yoav Segalovitz in a prominent position.
- A majority (54%) also oppose the published road map for a Gaza agreement.
- Regarding prime minister suitability, Naftali Bennett (43%) and Gadi Eisenkot (47%) continue to lead Benjamin Netanyahu (40% and 38% respectively), with no significant change from previous polls.
The poll was conducted before Gilad Erdan and Yuli Edelstein announced their new party.
