Multi-day heatwave with severe heat stress risk hits Israel, Meteorological Service warns

Israel is experiencing a multi-day heatwave that began Sunday, with the Israel Meteorological Service (IMS) warning of severe heat stress, particularly in mountainous and inland regions, and mugginess along the coast. IMS Director-General Dr. Amir Givati stated that the heatwave is expected to continue into next week with varying intensity. This unseasonably hot weather is also affecting the entire Mediterranean region and southern Europe, though western and central Europe are anticipated to see more moderate temperatures and rain next week.
