Netanyahu rejects October 7 ‘betrayal’ claims, says officials 'chose not to wake him'

In a video, Netanyahu dismissed suggestions of treason, calling them “nonsense.” He attributed the events to a “major failure” where officials, due to a “miscalculation,” chose not to wake him or launch a preemptive strike despite warning signs, fearing it would provoke Hamas. Netanyahu also defended his wife, Sara Netanyahu, against claims she alleged treason, after she suggested in an interview that Yair Golan may have known about the attack before the Prime Minister. This led to legal warnings exchanged between Sara Netanyahu and Golan.
