Palestinians injured in Israeli settler attacks across West Bank
Several Palestinians were injured in separate attacks across the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa. A 16-year-old boy was shot by Israeli forces in Bani Naim, east of Hebron, and is in stable condition. In Abu Njeim, southeast of Bethlehem, Israeli settlers beat a 30-year-old man, who is now receiving hospital treatment. Additionally, settlers attacked a family in Khirbet Emneizal in the South Hebron Hills, stole their sheep, and Israeli forces subsequently assaulted residents and arrested seven people. The UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, expressed deep alarm over Israel granting city status to the Givat Ze’ev settlement, with his spokesman stating this “does not alter Givat Ze’ev’s legal status under international law as part of the occupied Palestinian territory.”
