American Airlines cancels flights to Tel Aviv from NY's JFK Airport until at least March 2027

American Airlines has extended the cancellation of all flights from New York's JFK Airport to Tel Aviv until at least March 2027, according to N12 News. The airline has not operated this route since October 2023, following the October 7 massacre. While American Airlines previously announced plans to resume flights to Israel in March 2026, including a new route from Los Angeles, these operations did not materialize. The airline is offering free changes or full refunds for affected passengers and has also canceled flights to Doha, Qatar, until at least January 2027, citing regional unrest. Competing US carriers Delta Air Lines and United Airlines have also canceled flights to Israel but are expected to resume service by the end of 2026.
