Meanwhile, a Wall Street Journal editorial criticized Trump's decision to halt military escalation in the Persian Gulf, citing his social media post about an alleged agreement with Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz and nuclear program. Reports from Saudi Arabia indicated that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged de-escalation due to concerns about attacks on oil facilities, suggesting Iran is dictating the regional agenda.
