In rarity, charges filed against Israeli filmed attacking CNN crew in West Bank

Police prosecutors have filed charges against a Jerusalem man in his 20s for attacking a CNN media crew and other journalists in the West Bank earlier this month. The journalists were traveling to Sinjil to cover the anniversary of the killing of US-Palestinian citizen Sayfollah Musallet. The defendant is accused of slashing tires with a knife and hitting a windshield with a pole. Police stated, "The Israel Police and the IDF view with severity any act of violence or damage to property, particularly when it involves members of the media carrying out their work." This indictment is considered rare, as settler violence has increased recently but few suspects are charged.
